The “new Nova” is the business school that Lisbon, and the country, were in need of

Teresa Carvalho, MBA ’97, Director at Santander, in Lisbon, Portugal, is donor of Fundação Alfredo de Sousa.

I was very fortunate to be one of the MBA students at Nova SBE, which I attended part-time between 1997 and 1999 since I was working at Citibank Portugal. Having already a degree in Management and four years of working experience, I remember being impressed by the program’s quality and its faculty.

Nova SBE has been consistently acknowledged, over the last years, as one of the top business schools in the world. The new campus is superb: completely focused on the future and it is a congregation of the best practices most leading business schools around the world have. The “new Nova” is the business school that Lisbon, and the country, were in need of: a project completely funded by private donations which were dreamed by and pushed forward mainly by its faculty and staff members. For all these reasons I consider myself privileged to be able to give a small contribution to the development of this project.

The several donation options allow everyone to contribute as they see fit. I challenge everyone to visit the campus and make a small donation that can eventually change the way business is taught in Portugal.
