Dear Expats, you have been set a challenge!
Tim Vieira, South African by birth, calls Portugal home since 2014. Here he dedicates his time to his diverse portfolio of businesses and to his wife and 3 children. Tim became known to the Portuguese public when he participated as an investor in the first season of the Shark Tank Portugal.
Tim, like so many other foreigners who have come to live in Portugal, feels he has been welcomed by the people and made to feel at home. In gratitude for all that this country has given him, Tim thinks it´s time to give back. And as an investor by DNA, he can see no better cause than to donate to a cause where the entire country will see a return on the investment made.
Nova School of Business & Economics is synonymous with Economic growth of a country that is ready to emerge at the forefront of European Education and Business.
Nova SBE has outgrown its old campus in Campolide, and in September 2018, the incredible new Nova SBE campus in Carcavelos will be completed and its doors will open to more than 3000 students from Portugal and around the world. For the third year running Nova SBE has been considered by the Financial Times as the best overseas experience for Master´s programs. By 2020 the campus will accommodate more than 5000 students.
The construction of the campus in itself is a major achievement. Borne entirely on private funding, Nova SBE embarked on the mammoth task of raising 50 million euros to build, so far 35 million euros have been raised. Now in 2018, we are on the home stretch and to be able to complete the construction free of debt, Nova needs to raise a further 15 million euros to reach its 50 million euro target.
Tim hope´s that other expats will follow suit and get involved, and has set a challenge – for every euro donated by an expat, Tim will match that euro up to €250,000.
So please, Nova SBE and Tim, would love your help.
Together, we are building the future.
The first step of the Nova Campaign, a collective fundraising effort, is to guarantee that we can build the school of the future, opening in Carcavelos September ’18.
